The final day to register to vote in the upcoming General Election is October 8, 2018. You may confirm your voter registration, locate your polling location and view other Shelby County Election information on line at https://indianavoters.in.gov, or by contacting the Election Office at 317-392-6324.
Absentee voting will begin in the lobby of the Shelby County Courthouse on Wednesday, October 10, 2018. Voting hours will be Monday through Friday starting Wednesday, October 10, 2018 to Friday November 2, 2018 during the hours of 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. The Courthouse will also be open for early voting on Saturday’s October 27 and November 3, 2018 from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm., and Monday, November 5, 2018 from 8:00 am to noon.
Anyone wishing to vote at the Courthouse please use the west entrance off the parking lot. Absentee voting will be conducted on the first floor of the Courthouse. Valid ID is required to vote.
October 29, 2018 is the deadline by 11:59 pm for the Circuit Court Clerk to receive an absentee ballot application from an applicant requesting delivery of an absentee ballot by mail. November 5, 2018 by noon is the deadline for the Circuit Court Clerk to receive an absentee ballot application from a voter requesting an absentee traveling board to visit the voter at the voter’s location because of illness or injury of the voter, or because the voter is caring for a confined person at a private residence. Applications may be submitted to the Circuit Court Clerk in person, by fax, by mail or by e-mail.
