Hemp expected to impact Indiana agriculture

The growth of hemp in Indiana is expected to increase in the Midwest following the declassification of industrial hemp as a narcotic with the passage of the federal Farm Bill in 2018.

With permits being issued to allow for the planting of hemp State Representative Sean Eberhart (Shelbyville) says the state legislature’s work on that topic will have a major impact on agriculture.
