The Charles A. Beard Schools in Knightstown are under lockdown. Superintendent Amy Rauch says a suspicious man was observed near Knightstown Elementary School. Rauch made the decision to put all of the schools on lockdown as a precautionary measure as police investigated the situation. No arrest was made.

Staff members are calling parents of the kids who walk home from school to suggest that they arrange a ride for their children.
