Indiana University basketball recruit Ron Patterson will transfer after failing to meet academic standards. IU head coach Tom Crean confirmed Wednesday that the former Indianapolis Broad Ripple standout failed to meet academic requirements after attending summer school.
Patterson‘s A-A-U coach tells The Indianapolis Star that the 6'3" guard will likely enroll at another four-year school or prep school.
Patterson was a four-year starter at Broad Ripple, averaging 18.5points, 5.7 rebounds and 3.8 assists as a senior.
